Tubapalooza '08

Seeing that it is so cold in Milwaukee we are always looking for new ways to enjoy the outdoors! Tubapalooza '08 was the answer!

Why I love Cincinnati...

Happy 31st Birthday Jer

We celebrated Jer's 31st birthday in Chicago on January 18th. We entered the Renaissance hotel to a beautiful birthday cake made just for Jer, then we ventured off to Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder where I dove in and forgot about points for a night, then we jetted off to Buddy Guy's Legends for a night of classic Chicago Blues! Its going to be a couple of weeks before I see my baby again so I wanted it to be a night for him to remember!
Happy Birthday Baby!

Hey Cash, Its your Birthday!

Cash Heisler turned 1 year old yesterday! I couldn't be there to celebrate but I sent a Hoops and Yo Yo singing card along with a new tradition I am hoping to start with Cash.
Jayme Lutsch introduce me to Captain Zoom about four years ago. I found it online and they just started making DVDs so I got Cash his very own personalized birthday DVD. I hope he loved it!
Happy 1st Birthday Cash!

CKR Videos

If any of you know my family, you know that we are all a little crazy!
My cousins, Kelly, Charlie and Rob make videos in their freetime. Though they can't make it through a skit (laughing away like Jimmy Fallon) the ideas and story lines are hilarious.
I definitely recommend watching a video or two on Youtube.

Keep it up guys! You really know how to get a laugh!
I love you and miss you!

Run Forest Run

After six gruesome months of working out and running more than I ever imagined I have finally gotten to the point where I surprise myself. Weekly, I probably knock out 15-25 miles depending on my work, travel and personal schedule. I guess depending on the weather too!

I got so used to pushing myself outside that moving to an indoor track really slowed me down. There is nothing worse than counting to 22 just to get to 6! Anyways, last week a small group from work got together to join a marathon training program at the Milwaukee Petit Center. This is less about the marathon distance and more about increasing your personal speed.

Last week we took it easy as it was the introduction of things to come.

Tonight is going to be the real challenge! I tried to prep with a 5 mile run last night but who knows! I will keep you posted!

Holidays in Cincinnati

I spent my vacation in Cincinnati this year. To make things even better, I took it right before the GMR Holiday break so I had two weeks off. This was the first time I have been able to spend some quality time with my baby, his family and his friends in Cincinnati. The week was completely eventful and went by way to fast.

Below is how the week looked:

Friday: Jer's Aunt's surprise 60th (then a night out in Hyde Park)

Saturday: We woke up to our Christmas exchange, made brunch for his roomate and girlfriend then Jer had all of his friends over for the Bengals game!

Sunday: Dinner with Jer's moms sisters

Monday: Dinner at the Silver Spring House with Jer's mom, aunt and uncle

Tuesday: Trader's World, the candle shop and Blackened Salmon and Alfredo Extraordinaire with Jer's roomate

Wednesday: Lunch with Jer's stepmom and the Mason Light show with Skorner and Melissa

Thursday: Festival of Lights at the Cincy Zoo with Jenny Stancati and Aaron

Friday: Holiday Party in Columbus (Meatballs, wine and poker!)

Saturday: Skorner and Melissa's Holiday gathering (see photo)

Sunday: On the road to St. Charles for Christmas Eve 2008 at Nana Dee's

Make new friends but keep the old

After many years of distance between Jeanine and Jennifer, it was so great to reunite with both of them in 2007. Jennifer came up to Milwaukee to spend a quality night of classic Milwaukee Mexican and American Legion Karaoke with Jer and I. We sang our hearts out with possibly the best selection of karaoke individuals I had ever seen! Thanks Jennifer, lets do it again!

Jeanine and I met up at McNallys with Jer and her friends. We tried to stay warm in the St. Charles bars as the chill in the air kept decreasing.

I look forward to an amazing 2008 ladies.

Merry Christmas to me!

After long ponderings over what to get Jeremy for Christmas this year, I finally came up with an idea that I thought was completely unique and that he could take on the road. I made a trip to Chicago where a good friend of mine took some amazing black and white photos! She has become such an amazing photographer over the years, I was extrememly amazed at how she made me look! I think Jer was too. I decided to do some classy yet sensual nude shots. There is very little to be seen, it was more of less about lines and shadowing, leaving some imagination to the mind. With Jer on the road for the next year, I want him to remember me and really miss me! :)

Attached is a photo of the beautiful gift from Jer as well as a sneak peak of the gift to Jer.

For my first piece of jewelry from the love of my life I was completely amazed! The three C's of diamonds are cut, clarity and color and there is no doubt that these earrings are the best quality! Baby, you did so good!
