Yeah, my maid of honor finally made the blog!

On July, 27th The Heisler's took a date night out to Gavin Degraw. Lucky them, they got to experience one of the final shows with Jeremy as tour manager. Jer even hooked them up with a meet and greet and side stage viewing!
Below are some photos of the night. I thought I'd also include Cash, the little man they left at home that night!

I'm A Redneck Woman!

Above are a few photos from the Rock N Racing Weekend with Gretchen Wilson!
It just so happens Gavin sang the star spangled banner at Chicagoland so I got to see my baby too!

18 Miles Accomplished!

I did it! With help from my good friend Wiz I was able to accomplish 18 miles.
We ran the Lakefront discovery run loop 2 times. I definitely had an easier time with a partner than I have on my own.
It seemed it was easier to hide or block out all of those convincing thoughts which would take me through a short cut or stop to walk. Believe me, I still had them I was just able to push through them.
18 down, 8 to go!

18 Miles

So this Sunday, July 6th I am scheduled to run 18 miles. I am a little ahead of the game as there is still 12 weeks to the marathon but I picked a more challenging training schedule. This schedule peaks 3 different times, 1 at 18, 1 at 20 and 1 at 22/23. After this Sunday, I go back down to 10-14 miles for a couple of weeks. I have to admit, I am extremely scared. The last mile and a half of the 16 miler was a hard push for me and my knees hurt for a couple of days. I will keep believing in myself and keep knowing that my loved ones believe in me to and hopefully that will pull me through!
I am going to conquer this marathon!

Jer's Greatest Fear!

My baby Monte at home in the Forest!
She is not as scary as she looks, I promise.
